Shalom Parents of NCSY TJJ Bus 4!
Your kids are amazing! This morning we hiked the famous Zavitan trail. The hike entails a long stretch from the road to the beginning of a valley, and then from the top of the valley down rocks and rivers to the bottom.
At the bottom we swam in 3 beautiful rock pools and got showered by a natural waterfall.
While the hike was strenuous at times, especially the uphill climb back, TJJ Bus 4 pushed through like champions and we finished the hike in record timing. It was gratifying to see NCSYers helping each other out and encouraging each other to keep moving.
After the hike we went to see the 4-D “Magic of the Golan” movie, which is a a total sensory experience of the Golan Heights, and your kids had a few minutes to shop in a super market; a huge highlight for many of them!
We’ve just returned to the hotel for some “mandatory nap time” until dinner. No one is complaining, especially since we left at 5am this morning!
Overall, it’s been an amazing day so far and everyone on the bus is having a fantastic time. I just wanted to share with you all how proud I am to be the director of so many exceptional teenagers.
If you need to get in touch with me, the best way, as always, is by emailing me at rael@jsu.org.
Have a great day
Rabbi Rael
