Shalom Shalom!

I am happy to report that we have arrived in Israel safe and sound!

After the exciting meet up at LAX airport Wednesday morning and a stealthy navigation through TSA towards our terminal, we boarded the plane.  After our initial meet and greet, we enjoyed the smooth sailing of El Al’s 14 hour flight landing safely in Israel. Upon touching down on Israeli soil the entire plane broke out in a contagious round of applause for the pilot and crew.  What an exciting welcome to this historic country!  After getting through customs, receiving our bags and eating lunch in a lovely park made of beautiful Jerusalem stone, we loaded the tour bus to begin our Journey towards the north of Israel.  This evening, we ate a delicious and filling Israeli dinner, checked into our hotel, and then partook in an official bus 4 welcome party with icebreakers and an orientation.

As I write this letter, everyone is getting their much needed full night’s rest, as tomorrow morning we are looking forward to touring the ancient and holy city of Tzfat.  Present day, Tzfat is home of a vibrant and eclectic community, beautiful history, modern spiritual artists, amazing views and some great Judaica shopping.

Thanks again for giving your children the opportunity to have the summer of a lifetime.
