Dear Parents,
We are finally circling back towards Jerusalem after a whirlwind week! Last night we spent the evening under the stars in the Negev Desert. We learned about the Bedouin culture, slept outside in tents, meditated under the stars and rode camels! Before the Bedouin tents, the highlight of our trip for many of the teens has been our two days in Eilat doing water sports, taking party-boat cruises and walking the boardwalk.
We are currently headed towards Bar Ilan University to get pizza and learn about their school, and afterwards we are settling for the night in the Hotel in Bayit V’Gan. There, we will hear from a wonderful and moving speaker; an American-Israeli who runs an organization that helps family members of victims of terror. To round off the week before our off-weekend, tomorrow we will be spending some time in Tel Aviv, including Independence Hall and the “Blind Museum”.
Emails were sent out regarding times for drop-off and pick-up times for Thursday night and Sunday morning for both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and we’ll re-iterate them here to make sure you’ve seen them. Please continue to be in touch if you have any questions. Be well!
