Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 4 Family,
We continued our wet and wild stay in the GOLAN!!
Our day started as the bus took us south to Tiberias, which we learned is one of the four holiest cities in the world!!! We took some time to enjoy a teambuilding exercise in the Kinneret by having a raft building competition, congratulations to our winners, Team Two!!!!!!!Lunch (our first schwarma of the summer!!) was enjoyed at the idyllic Majrase, which is the largest freshwater reserve in Israel. We had a great time exploring the reserve and learning how the water from the Golan reaches the Kinneret.
Monday afternoon continued with a refreshing swim in the Kinneret and some free time on the boardwalk in Tiberias. We also had a rocking boat cruise out on the Kinneret. After dancing our shoes off on the cruise, we capped off our day with true cultural experience as we ate out in an Israeli steak restaurant, El Rancho. Pita, Hummus, Kufteh, and Pargiyot galore!!
We are looking forward to tomorrow when we wake up early to tackle the Zavitan Valley!
