Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 4 Family,
The band is back together!!!
After an amazing free weekend everyone in the Bus 4 family is so excited to be back together! While some of us had amazing experiences traveling to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and seeing family and friends we are all nonetheless thrilled to be a complete bus 4 family once again!!
Today, Sunday, we made the loooong drive from Tel Aviv down to Eilat. On the way we made several stops, including Sde Boker and the Machtesh. At Sde Boker we visited the founder of the State of Israel’s, David ben Gurion, desert home where we learned about Ben Gurion and why he chose such a curious place to live out his life after serving as prime minister. Following lunch in Sde Boker we paid a visit to the Machtesh, a natural formed crater unique to Israel’s Negev Desert. At the Machtesh we not only enjoyed the spectacular views but even took the opportunity to rappel down its side!!
After enjoying our stops in Sde Boker and at the Machtesh we continued on our way to Eilat. We had a scrumptious dinner in the “Ice mall” where we also got tickly fish pedicures! Afterwards, everyone was ready to rest up at the hotel after a long day of traveling and excitement! Not to mention we need to have some strength to go banana boating and tubing tomorrow!
