This first Shabbat was incredibly meaningful to me in more ways than one. Not only was it my first Shabbat in Israel, but it was our first Shabbat spent as a family. Never have I felt more connected to a land or a group of people as I did on Friday night, when we welcomed shabbat as we watched the sun go down. Through all of the singing, the learning, the laughing, and the memories we were making, I felt like we were all one, growing together. From lighting the candles on Friday to the last moments of Havdalah on Saturday, Shabbat was full of memorable moments that I’ll cherish forever!!
