TJJer Spotlight: Maya Teller

Hi! I’m Maya Teller from Houston, Texas. Today was a really fun day. We started off with our last hike for a while. It was tough, but we kept in mind that after the hike we would eat the best pizza in all of Israel. It was definitely worth it! Next we visited the Akko prison. We learned about the Jews who were captured in the 1930’s and 1940’s fighting for our country. We sang a meaningful Hatikva in the same place where many Jews who fought for our country were murdered. I am very grateful to be able to be traveling Israel because of them. After the prison, we visited a lookout point where we were able to see the beautiful country. We returned back to the hotel, and ended the amazing day with a very fun and intense game of musical chairs. I can’t wait to see what’s next on our great trip!!
