Day 6: Raft Building, Water Hike, and Party Boat!!

TJJer Spotlight: Jacob Cohen

Happy Independence Day back in America! But while our friends and family prepare to watch fireworks, we race team-made rafts along the כינרת (Kineret), splash our way through water trails, and swim amongst the fish on an Israeli beach. Today was essentially a water themed day. First, we went to the כינרת, where we were divided into 2 teams assigned to build rafts. Team 1 and team 2 constructed similar, however subtly different rafts. The rafts were loaded into the water, and were raced to a checkpoint and back. After A tiring and wet rideam 2 ended up finishing After raft racing, bus 4’s tour guide, Daniel Charter, led the group on a water hike through the mag’rasa. Passing through a stream with a smooth rock floor eventually turned into a pond, which we treaded though. After, we headed to the boardwalk in Tiberius and had some free time to shop and hangout! It was so much fun! We then boarded a party boat on the Kineret. There we sang, danced, and played some bongos!! To finish off this incredible day on TJJ we ate at a delicious meat restaurant called, el rancho! I had such an amazing day today and can’t wait for all the others!!
