Today was another fantastic day on TJJ! Day 12 started out bright and early with a delicious breakfast and the morning prayer workshops. The minyan was a hit as usual, and the other tefillah groups continued learning about prayer in general. The bus pulled out at 8:15 and the day began. We hiked Nachal Betzet, a beautiful picturesque valley. In middle of the valley was a cave that we climbed in. It was an extremely cool experience. The cave was wet and slippery, and was a real challenge to climb through. It was a blast! The hike was fun and enjoyable, and climbing through the cave was an unforgettable experience!
We finished up the hike and went to Kibbutz Metzubah where we ate a delicious lunch. At the kibbutz we had personal pizzas with really great toppings like sauteed onions, zatar and corn. They made the pizzas fresh in outdoor ovens and they were really good. The meal ended with fresh watermelon. During the meal, we had two interesting visitors; the kibbutz dog and cat! They added some interesting conversation topics to the meal.
After that, we went to Rosh Hanikra. We went into a cable car and went down into underground caves that were formed over thousands of years. We then made our way back to the hotel and had dinner and then evening discussions. We got sent to bed early again so that we could get some beauty sleep to prepare for our journey South tomorrow.
The day was a huge success!
