Hello from beautiful Israel!
It has been a jam packed busy week so far for TJJ Bus 4 and the excitement has not faltered for a second.
Traveling to the mystical city of Tzfat, today was full of fun and wonderment. During the day we walked through the city admiring the beautiful art and visiting the stores and restaurants. For lunch, each TJJer also had the experience of partnering up with another and searching for a cuisine to their liking.
After the wonderment of the city was started, we traveled to Otzar Hastam for a workshop on tefilin, sifrei Torah and mezuzot. This workshop taught the TJJers about the process of making tefilin and muzuzot. It also taught them about the job and role of a scribe in Jewish life thousands of years ago, as well as today.
Our final stop for the day was at the gravesite of Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai). After an inspirational and riveting speech by Rael Bloomenthal, we traveled inside the site and had the wonderful opportunity of davening mincha there. Overall, this day has been quite amazing and fun-filled adventure.
We then got back and got ready for Shabbat – we took lots of pictures and will upload them after Shabbat… For now were thinking of our families and wishing you all a wonderful Shabbat!
