Today we woke up in the fabulous Bedouin tents and made our way to breakfast where we ate freshly-made bread, omelettes and orange juice. There was also a wide array of cheeses, salads, yoghurts, and all other yummy things 🙂 so good! We then headed on a nice short walk through what looked a little like the grand canyon except it was smaller, less hot and there was a stunning stream of water running though it. Our cheering echoed through it as de Chanted our bus songs
After leaving that, we drove further south to the place where Ben Gurion was buried. We sat in groups with our advisors and discussed four main dilemmas that Ben Gurion had to solve when he was a leader in Israel, which was thought-provoking and very informative. We talked about where Ben Gurion would form cities and kibbutzim, how he would organise the defense forces, and other topics.
We then left that and went to a place where we went repelling! Many of us were scared to try it at first but eventually we all gave it a go. Even through people were scared and nervous they still went down. Believe me when I tell you that it was terrifying but everyone who went down and was scared felt soooooooooo amazing afterwards!
After repelling, we had a long drive to Eilat – but we did stop off in a place called Yotvata where they have delicious ice-cream, chocolate milk, and many other milky products. It was yummy! We finally got to the Adi hotel in Eilat at around 7.30pm and put down our stuff in our rooms before rushing out to eat dinner out! We ate in a delicious meaty restaurant and had a blast. After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and had some time to shower / get ready / prepare for the talent show before meeting for the talent show at 10pm. We all did all sorts of talents! Some of us sang, some danced, and some made funny shows for everyone… We then went to bed!
