Today we woke up at 4.30am to have breakfast at 5am and leave for a super early hike called Nachal Yehudiya! Everyone woke up on time (amazing!) and we left… We got to the place and ate breakfast there. Although it was outside the hotel, we still had a typical israeli breakfast – tomatoes, cucumbers, tuna and corn with delicious bread buns… We then had tefillah workshops out in the nature. Once those were over, we left for a really long hike which lasted five hours!!
We walked for an hour or so and then got to a natural rock pool, so we all jumped in and had the time of our lives! We jumped in and swam around while Rabbi Rael was telling us jokes… We then carried on walking again and then got to another much more impressive pool with a waterfall! many of us jumped in and swam… We stayed there for much longer! We then made our way back to leave the hike and excitedly arrived at a table with delicious lunch waiting for us – pizza, pasta, salad and garlic bread… Yum!!!
After lunch, we went to a place called ‘Kesem Hagolan’ which means ‘the magic of the Golan’. It’s a very special video in 2 parts which describes the Golan. We all sat and enjoyed an amazing first part which was a panoramic cinema screen with flowers, mountains and streams that are in the Golan with sound, rain and smell effects going on in the room with us! The second part was in another room where we stood by a live map of northern israel (including the countries surrounding it and the Golan heights) and we were given a presentation on the different wars and which pieces of land were taken in the different wars.
After that, we went back to the hotel early and got sent to our rooms for a mandatory nap until 7.30pm! Then we had a delicious dinner followed by an evening activity about questioning and it’s importance in Judaism. We then got sent to bed .
